Silo is a canonical serialization format for PLAN values. The design is heavily inspired by the IPLD system of IPFS (which is based on the CBOR format, which is similar to the MessagePack encoing of JSON).
Because PLAN has such a radically simple data model, a lot more information can be crammed into the dispatch bytes. The resulting format is extremely fast to serialize and deserialize, and it has good support for streaming and compresses well using conventional compression systems.
